From our village, due to our central location in the region of Galicia, you can quickly reach must-see touristic cities and places:
-Santiago de Compostela: Christian peregrination middle age city known around the world.
-Lugo: a 2.000 year old roman city surrounded by a brick wall considered as a world´s humanity heritage place.
-A Coruña: A beautiful sea city in which it is located the roman built Hercules Tower, the only active romanesque lighthouse in the world.
-Nature Park of Eume´s Forests: Unique ecosystem in Europe consisted of a deep atlantic forest and the banks of the Eume river which is a protected area but can be visited if you wish so.
-San Andrés de Teixido: Mythic sanctuary of Galician religious tradition located in a privileged place in front of a high tide sea.
-Punta Herbeira: The highest cliffs of northern Europe and around Cape Ortegal, a meeting point between the Cantabric sea and the Atlantic ocean. From a geological point of view, it is one of four places with the oldest rocks on earth.
-Praia das Catedrais beach: Located in the north of the province of Lugo, It has been declared a Natural Monument by the regional Ministry for the Environment of the government of Galicia. The place’s more characteristic features are its natural 30 meter tall archs (which remind to cathedral flying buttresses) and dozen meters long caves, which can be seen only in low tide.
-Betanzos: This medieval town is located in a fertile valley close to the Atlantic Ocean, and it has one of the best preserved old quarters in Galicia. Noteworthy is the Igrexa de San Francisco (Saint Francis church), erected in the year 1387 by order of the Count Fernán Pérez de Andrade, whose tomb, decorated with hunting scenes, can be seen inside of the church. The Igrexa de Santiago (Saint James church), built in the 15th. century by the guild of tailors which has a main portal decorated with a horseback statue of Saint James.
-Mondoñedo: A small village headquarters of the bishop´s residence with a Cathedral Square and Museum.
-Viveiro: A Celtic city located in the north of the province of Lugo which retains a beautiful old town and remains of the defensive wall.
